הא בכין אמר שלמה יי אתרעי לאשראה שכינתיה בקרתא דירושלם בבית מקדשא די בניתי לשום מימריה וענן אמיטתא כבש קדמוי:
qdmwy kbsh amyTtha wenn mymryh lshwm bnythy dy mqdsha bbyth dyrwshlm bqrtha shkynthyh lashrah athrey yy shlmh amr bkyn ha
Then Solomon said, “Yahweh has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

ואנא בניתי בית מקדשא קדמך אתר מתקן לבית שכינתך ומכון כל קבל כורסי בית מותבך דבשמיא לעלמין :
lelmyn dbshmya mwthbk byth kwrsy qbl kl wmkwn shkynthk lbyth mthqn athr qdmk mqdsha byth bnythy wana
But I have built you a house and home, a place for you to dwell in forever.”

ואחזר מלכא ית אפוהי ובריך ית כל קהלא דיי וכל קהלא דישראל קימין:
qymyn dyshral qhla wkl dyy qhla kl yth wbryk apwhy yth mlka wakhzr
The king turned his face, and blessed all the assembly of Israel; and all the assembly of Israel stood.

ואמר בריך שמא דיי אלהא דישראל די גזר במימריה עם דוד אבא וברעותיה קים למימר:
lmymr qym wbrewthyh aba dwd em bmymryh gzr dy dyshral alha dyy shma bryk wamr
He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and has with his hands fulfilled it, saying,

מן יומא די אפיקית ית עמי ישראל מארעא דמצרים לא אתרעיתי בקרתא מכל שבטיא דישראל לאשראה שכנתי תמן ולא אתרעיתי בגבר למהוי מלכא על עמי ישראל:
yshral emy el mlka lmhwy bgbr athreythy wla thmn shknthy lashrah dyshral shbTya mkl bqrtha athreythy la dmtsrym marea yshral emy yth apyqyth dy ywma mn
‘Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there, and I chose no man to be prince over my people Israel;

ואתרעיתי בירושלם לאשראה שכנתי תמן ואתרעיתי בדוד למהוי מלכא על עמי ישראל:
yshral emy el mlka lmhwy bdwd wathreythy thmn shknthy lashrah byrwshlm wathreythy
but now I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.’

והוה בלבא דדוד אבא למבני ביתא לשמא דיי אלהא דישראל:
dyshral alha dyy lshma bytha lmbny aba ddwd blba whwh
Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.

ואמר יי לדוד אבא חלף די הוה עם לבבך למבני ביתא לשמי אתקנתא ארום הוה עם לבבך:
lbbk em hwh arwm athqntha lshmy bytha lmbny lbbk em hwh dy khlp aba ldwd yy wamr
But Yahweh said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart;

לחוד את לא תבני ביתא ארום בר דתוליד הוא יבני ביתא לשמי:
lshmy bytha ybny hwa dthwlyd br arwm bytha thbny la ath lkhwd
nevertheless you shall not build the house, but your son who will come out of your body, he shall build the house for my name.’

וקים יי ית פתגמיה די מליל וקמית באתריה דדוד אבא ויתיבית על כורסי מלכותא דישראל היכמה די מלל יי ובניתי בית מקדשא לשום מימרא דיי אלהא דישראל:
dyshral alha dyy mymra lshwm mqdsha byth wbnythy yy mll dy hykmh dyshral mlkwtha kwrsy el wythybyth aba ddwd bathryh wqmyth mlyl dy pthgmyh yth yy wqym
“Yahweh has performed his word that he spoke; for I have risen up in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Yahweh promised, and have built the house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.

ושויתי תמן ית ארונא דתמן לוחי קימא דיי די גזר עם בני ישראל:
yshral bny em gzr dy dyy qyma lwkhy dthmn arwna yth thmn wshwythy
There I have set the ark, in which is Yahweh’s covenant, which he made with the children of Israel.”

וקם קדם מדבחא דיי כל קבל כל קהלא דישראל ופרש ידוי בצלו:
btslw ydwy wprsh dyshral qhla kl qbl kl dyy mdbkha qdm wqm
He stood before Yahweh’s altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands

ארום עבד שלמה כיורא דנחשא ויהביה במצע דרתא בעזרת קודשא חמש אמין אורכיה וחמש אמין פותיה ותלת אמין רומיה וקם עלוי וכרע על ברכוי כל קבל כל קהלא דישראל ופרש ידוי בצלו לצית שמיא:
shmya ltsyth btslw ydwy wprsh dyshral qhla kl qbl kl brkwy el wkre elwy wqm rwmyh amyn wthlth pwthyh amyn wkhmsh awrkyh amyn khmsh qwdsha bezrth drtha bmtse wyhbyh dnkhsha kywra shlmh ebd arwm
(for Solomon had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court; and he stood on it, and knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven).

ואמר יי אלהא דישראל לא אית בר מנך את הוא אלהא די שכנתך שרא בשמיא מלעילא ושליט על ארעא מלרע נטיר קימא וטיבו לעבדך די מהלכין בארחתך ופלחין קדמך בכל רעות נפשהון ובכל יצרא דלבהון:
dlbhwn ytsra wbkl npshhwn rewth bkl qdmk wplkhyn barkhthk mhlkyn dy lebdk wTybw qyma nTyr mlre area el wshlyT mleyla bshmya shra shknthk dy alha hwa ath mnk br ayth la dyshral alha yy wamr
Then he said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth—you who keep covenant and loving kindness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;

די נטרתא לעבדך דוד אבא ית דמללתא ליה וגזרתא במימרך וברעותך קימתא הי בזמן יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma bzmn hy qymtha wbrewthk bmymrk wgzrtha lyh dmlltha yth aba dwd lebdk nTrtha dy
who have kept with your servant David my father that which you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.

וכדון יי אלהא דישראל טר לעבדך דוד אבא ית די מללתא ליה למימר לא יפסק לך גבר מן קדמי יתיב על כורסי מלכותא דישראל לחוד אין ינטרון בנך ית ארחתהון להלכא באוריתא היכמה דהלכתא קדמי:
qdmy dhlktha hykmh bawrytha lhlka arkhthhwn yth bnk ynTrwn ayn lkhwd dyshral mlkwtha kwrsy el ythyb qdmy mn gbr lk ypsq la lmymr lyh mlltha dy yth aba dwd lebdk Tr dyshral alha yy wkdwn
“Now therefore, Yahweh, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as you have walked before me.’

וכדון יי אלהא דישראל יתקימון פתגמיך די מללתא לעבדך לדוד:
ldwd lebdk mlltha dy pthgmyk ythqymwn dyshral alha yy wkdwn
Now therefore, Yahweh, the God of Israel, let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David.

ארום מן יסובר ומאן ידמי די בקושטא אתרעי יי לאשראה שכנתיה בגו בני נשא דדירין על ארעא הא שמיא עלאי ושמיא מצעאי ושמיא תתאי לית אפשר להון די יסוברון יקר שכנתך ארום את הוא אלהא סביל כולא שמיא וארעא ותהומיא וכל מה דאית בהון אף אלהן ביתא הדין די בניתי:
bnythy dy hdyn bytha alhn ap bhwn dayth mh wkl wthhwmya warea shmya kwla sbyl alha hwa ath arwm shknthk yqr yswbrwn dy lhwn apshr lyth ththay wshmya mtseay wshmya elay shmya ha area el ddyryn nsha bny bgw shknthyh lashrah yy athrey bqwshTa dy ydmy wman yswbr mn arwm
“But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house which I have built!

ותתפני לצלותא דעבדך ולבעותיה יי אלהי לקבלא בעותא וצלותא די עבדך מצלי קדמך:
qdmk mtsly ebdk dy wtslwtha bewtha lqbla alhy yy wlbewthyh debdk ltslwtha wththpny
Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant and to his supplication, Yahweh my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you;

למהוי רעוא קדמך לאגנא על ביתא הדין יימם ולילי לאתרא דאמרת לאשראה שכנתך תמן לקבלא צלותא די צלי עבדך על אתרא הדין:
hdyn athra el ebdk tsly dy tslwtha lqbla thmn shknthk lashrah damrth lathra wlyly yymm hdyn bytha el lagna qdmk rewa lmhwy
that your eyes may be open toward this house day and night, even toward the place where you have said that you would put your name, to listen to the prayer which your servant will pray toward this place.

ותקבל בעותא דעבדך ועמך ישראל די יצלון לאפי אתרא הדין ואת תקבל מאתר בית שכנתך מן שמיא ותקבל צלותהון ותשבק לחוביהון:
lkhwbyhwn wthshbq tslwthhwn wthqbl shmya mn shknthk byth mathr thqbl wath hdyn athra lapy ytslwn dy yshral wemk debdk bewtha wthqbl
Listen to the petitions of your servant and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear from your dwelling place, even from heaven; and when you hear, forgive.
22
אין יסרח גבר על חבריה וירשי ביה מומי לאומיותיה ויתי ויומיניה קדם מדבחך בביתא הדין:
hdyn bbytha mdbkhk qdm wywmynyh wythy lawmywthyh mwmy byh wyrshy khbryh el gbr ysrkh ayn
“If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house,

ואת תקבל מן שמיא ותעביד ותדין ית עבדך לאתבא גומלא לחיבא למתן ארחיה ברישיה ולזכאה זכאי למתן ליה הי כזכותיה:
kzkwthyh hy lyh lmthn zkay wlzkah bryshyh arkhyh lmthn lkhyba gwmla lathba ebdk yth wthdyn wthebyd shmya mn thqbl wath
then hear from heaven, act, and judge your servants, bringing retribution to the wicked, to bring his way on his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
24
ואין כד יתברון עמך ישראל קדם בעלי דבביהון ארום יחובון קדמך ויתובון לפולחנך ויודון ית שמך ויצלון ויבעון מנך בביתא הדין:
hdyn bbytha mnk wybewn wytslwn shmk yth wywdwn lpwlkhnk wythwbwn qdmk ykhwbwn arwm dbbyhwn bely qdm yshral emk ythbrwn kd wayn
“If your people Israel are struck down before the enemy because they have sinned against you, and they turn again and confess your name, and pray and make supplication before you in this house,

ואת תקבל מן שמיא ותשבוק לחובי עמך ישראל ותתבנון לארעא די יהבתא להון ולאבהתהון:
wlabhthhwn lhwn yhbtha dy larea wththbnwn yshral emk lkhwby wthshbwq shmya mn thqbl wath
then hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again to the land which you gave to them and to their fathers.

כד מתכלין שמיא מלאחתא מטרא ארום יחובון קדמך ויצלון לאפי אתרא הדין ויודון ית שמך ומחוביהון יתובון ארום תקבל צלותהון:
tslwthhwn thqbl arwm ythwbwn wmkhwbyhwn shmk yth wywdwn hdyn athra lapy wytslwn qdmk ykhwbwn arwm mTra mlakhtha shmya mthklyn kd
“When the sky is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray toward this place and confess your name, and turn from their sin when you afflict them,
27
ואת תקבל מן שמיא ותשבוק לחובי דעבדך ועמך ישראל ארום תליפנון ית אורח תקנא דיהכון בה ותתן מטרא על ארעך די יהבתא לעמך לאחסנא:
lakhsna lemk yhbtha dy arek el mTra wththn bh dyhkwn thqna awrkh yth thlypnwn arwm yshral wemk debdk lkhwby wthshbwq shmya mn thqbl wath
then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk, and send rain on your land, which you have given to your people for an inheritance.
28
אולצן כפנא כד יהא בארעא מותנא כד יהי שודפנא ויורקנא גובאי ושמוטא כד יהי ארום יעיקון להון בעלי דבביהון בארע קרויהון כל מכתש וכל מרע:
mre wkl mkthsh kl qrwyhwn bare dbbyhwn bely lhwn yeyqwn arwm yhy kd wshmwTa gwbay wywrqna shwdpna yhy kd mwthna barea yha kd kpna awltsn
“If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight or mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is—

כל צלותא כל בעותא די תהא בפני כל אנש מכל עמך ישראל די ינדעון אנש מכתשיה וכיביה ויפרוש ידוי בצלו לאפי ביתא הדין:
hdyn bytha lapy btslw ydwy wyprwsh wkybyh mkthshyh ansh yndewn dy yshral emk mkl ansh kl bpny thha dy bewtha kl tslwtha kl
whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who will each know his own plague and his own sorrow, and shall spread out his hands toward this house,

ואת תקבל מן שמיא מאתר בית שכנתך ותשבוק לחוביהון ותתן לכל גבר ככל ארחתיה די יפרסם קדמך לביה ארום את הוא ולית בר מנך ולחוד קדמך גלין לבביא דבני נשא:
nsha dbny lbbya glyn qdmk wlkhwd mnk br wlyth hwa ath arwm lbyh qdmk yprsm dy arkhthyh kkl gbr lkl wththn lkhwbyhwn wthshbwq shknthk byth mathr shmya mn thqbl wath
then hear from heaven your dwelling place and forgive, and give to every man according to all his ways, whose heart you know (for you, even you only, know the hearts of the children of men),
31
מן בגלל דידחלון מן קדמך למהך בארחן דתקנן קדמך כל יומיא דאנון קימין על אפי ארעא די יהבתא לאבהתנא:
labhthna yhbtha dy area apy el qymyn danwn ywmya kl qdmk dthqnn barkhn lmhk qdmk mn dydkhlwn bgll mn
that they may fear you, to walk in your ways as long as they live in the land which you gave to our fathers.
32
ואוף מן בר עממין דלא מעמך ישראל הוא ויתי מארע רחיקא מטול שמך רבא ואידך תקיפא ואדרעך מרמם וייתון ויצלון לאפי ביתא הדין:
hdyn bytha lapy wytslwn wyythwn mrmm wadrek thqypa waydk rba shmk mTwl rkhyqa mare wythy hwa yshral memk dla emmyn br mn wawp
“Moreover, concerning the foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, when he comes from a far country for your great name’s sake and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm, when they come and pray toward this house,

ואת תקבל מן שמיא מאתר בית שכנתך ותעביד הי ככל מה די יצלי קדמך בר עממין מן בגלל די ינדעון כל עממי ארעא ית שמך ולמדחל מן קדמך הי כעמך ישראל ולמדע ארום שמך אתקרי על ביתא הדין די בניתי:
bnythy dy hdyn bytha el athqry shmk arwm wlmde yshral kemk hy qdmk mn wlmdkhl shmk yth area emmy kl yndewn dy bgll mn emmyn br qdmk ytsly dy mh kkl hy wthebyd shknthk byth mathr shmya mn thqbl wath
then hear from heaven, even from your dwelling place, and do according to all that the foreigner calls to you for; that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by your name.
34
כד יפקון עמך לאגחא קרבא על בעלי דבביהון בארחא די תשלחנון ומצלין קדמך כל קבל אורח אפי קרתא הדא דאתרעיתא בה ובית מקדשא די בניתי לשמך:
lshmk bnythy dy mqdsha wbyth bh dathreytha hda qrtha apy awrkh qbl kl qdmk wmtslyn thshlkhnwn dy barkha dbbyhwn bely el qrba lagkha emk ypqwn kd
“If your people go out to battle against their enemies, by whatever way you send them, and they pray to you toward this city which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name;

ותקבל מן שמיא ית צלותהון וית בעותהון ותתפרע עולבנהון:
ewlbnhwn wththpre bewthhwn wyth tslwthhwn yth shmya mn wthqbl
then hear from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
36
כד יחובון קדמך ארום לית בר נש דלא חטי ויחול רגזך בהון ותמסרנון קדם בעלי דבביהון וישבונון שביהון ויגלנון לארעא רחיקא או קריבא:
qryba aw rkhyqa larea wyglnwn shbyhwn wyshbwnwn dbbyhwn bely qdm wthmsrnwn bhwn rgzk wykhwl khTy dla nsh br lyth arwm qdmk ykhwbwn kd
“If they sin against you (for there is no man who doesn’t sin), and you are angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive to a land far off or near;

ויתובון ללבהון דחלתך בארעא דאשתביו תמן ויתובון ויבעון מנך בארע שביהון למימר חבנא ואטפשנא וסרחנא:
wsrkhna waTpshna khbna lmymr shbyhwn bare mnk wybewn wythwbwn thmn dashthbyw barea dkhlthk llbhwn wythwbwn
yet if they come to their senses in the land where they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication to you in the land of their captivity, saying, ‘We have sinned, we have done perversely, and have dealt wickedly;’

ויתובון לפולחנך בכל לבהון ובכל נפשהון בארע שביהון דשבו יתהון ויצלון קדמך ויכונון לבהון לאפי אורח ארעהון די יהבתא לאבהתהון וקרתא דאתרעיתא ולבית מקדשא די בניתי לשמך:
lshmk bnythy dy mqdsha wlbyth dathreytha wqrtha labhthhwn yhbtha dy arehwn awrkh lapy lbhwn wykwnwn qdmk wytslwn ythhwn dshbw shbyhwn bare npshhwn wbkl lbhwn bkl lpwlkhnk wythwbwn
if they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been taken captive, and pray toward their land which you gave to their fathers, and the city which you have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for your name;
39
ותקבל מן שמיא מן מדור בית שכנתך ית צלותהון וית בעותהון ותתפרע עולבנהון ותשבוק לעמך די חבו קדמך:
qdmk khbw dy lemk wthshbwq ewlbnhwn wththpre bewthhwn wyth tslwthhwn yth shknthk byth mdwr mn shmya mn wthqbl
then hear from heaven, even from your dwelling place, their prayer and their petitions, and maintain their cause, and forgive your people who have sinned against you.
40
כדון אלהי יהי רעוא מן קדמך וציתי אדנך לקבלא צלותהון דאנון מכונין לבהון לצלאה כל קבל אתרא הדין:
hdyn athra qbl kl ltslah lbhwn mkwnyn danwn tslwthhwn lqbla adnk wtsythy qdmk mn rewa yhy alhy kdwn
“Now, my God, let, I beg you, your eyes be open, and let your ears be attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
41
וכדון קום יי אלהים אל שדי ביקרך את וארון יקר תוקפך כהניך יי אלהים ילבשון לבושין דיקר בפורקנך וחסידיך יחדון בטבתא:
bTbtha ykhdwn wkhsydyk bpwrqnk dyqr lbwshyn ylbshwn alhym yy khnyk thwqpk yqr warwn ath byqrk shdy al alhym yy qwm wkdwn
“Now therefore arise, Yahweh God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength. Let your priests, Yahweh God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.
